Emergency Appeal Netherlands: April 2021 Launch

A brand-new organisation, Emergency Appeal Netherlands has been launched at the Humanity Hub, working on the delivery of humanitarian help to Ukraine and supporting Ukrainian refugees in the Netherlands.

The idea behind the work of Emergency Appeal NL originated from a group of active volunteers. As the urgent needs have increased, the initial idea has developed into a concrete organisation. Emergency Appeal NL currently works with the the Polish and Ukrainian section of the Red Cross and other relevant organisations to supply hospitals in Ukraine with medications they have previously requested.

On April 1 the mayor of The Hague, Jan van Zanen gave the organisation a formal welcome into the Hague’s ecosystem of peace and justice.

The Humanity Hub supports the launch and development of this organisation as part of our response to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, with our free membership initiative supporting those working on Ukraine-related efforts.
