Arrests, Torture, and Racist Attacks in Tunisia; what can be done and how can the ICC act?

Since the July 2021 coup, Tunisian opposition leaders, judges, lawyers, civil society activists, union members and journalists have been arbitrarily detained. The Saied regime has also provoked racist attacks on black Tunisians and migrants. Tunisia was the cradle of the Arab Spring, but its democratic gains are being dramatically eroded, bringing further instability.

Tunisia is a State Party to the ICC but it is violating its international obligations under the Rome Statute. What steps can the ICC take?
