Workshop: Connecting directly with people in crisis situations

24 January, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Learn why we create these connections and how the insights gathered will result in better humanitarian aid.

We believe that those affected by crisis situations are the best to identify their problems, needs, and solutions. However, decisions affecting their lives are often made on behalf of them and not with them.

We want to change that. So, instead of making decisions based on assumptions, include the opinion of the communities into your decision, and learn first-hand how impactful your interventions are. We engage with communities in crisis areas the same way they connect with their friends and families using apps like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Upinion Messenger. By gathering instant insights and stories from people in crisis situations, Upinion amplifies people’s voice.

Join our workshop!

We would like to share our story with you. On 24th of January we host a workshop in the Humanity Hub. We will share with you our work, the communication tool we use to connect with communities, and some use cases from our work. You can also try the tool yourself. We will then open the floor for discussion where we will focus on how you currently connect with communities you work with and see if Upinion could help you with with that.
