Seminar: The future of civic leadership – including good governance, transparency, accountability & Students meet leaders of NGOs and non-profit organizations
24 June, 2022 @ 15:00 – 18:00
Through a collaborative research project, The Hague University of Applied Science and Leiden University work on improving our understanding of the challenges involved in civic leadership and good (board) governance. The central question is: ‘What does it take to successfully lead civil society organizations and thereby contribute to democratic decision-making in the Netherlands and the EU?’ The research project is led by Prof. dr. Caelesta Braun (Leiden University) and dr. Agota Szabo (Centre of Expertise for Global Governance, THUAS).
On Friday 24 June Prof. dr. Caelesta Braun and dr. Agota Szabo will inform leaders of NGOs and non-profit organizations about the initial findings of the project. Best practices derived from the interview study will be shared and discussed. The presentation will be followed by a discussion about ‘The future of civic leadership including good governance, transparency, accountability.’
