#SDGCafe Equal Trade

16 January @ 4:00 pm 7:00 pm

The next #SDGCafe will focus on Equal Trade

Africa In Motion’s Equal Trade Certification initiative introduces a revolutionary and innovative economic model to tackle the ongoing challenges connected with underdevelopment in Africa.

It aims to break through existing trade systems under which Africa supplies vast amounts of raw materials while simultaneously experiencing widespread poverty and severe social, economic and environmental problems.

The Equal Trade Certification initiative promises a unique African perspective on poverty reduction, in which African producers and suppliers receive a rightful share in revenues created by the end products. This will lead to a substantial increase in the standard of living for many Africans.

The SDG Café brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including NGOs, and organizations covering civil society, youth, women’s rights, employers, and Fair Trade, as well as MPs and academic institutions, African diplomats and many others.
