Take a deep dive into the Peace and Justice community of the Hague!
The spotlight is on the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) at this next edition of the Humanity Hub Open House during the Just Peace Month. Join us virtually or physically to learn more about their work coordinating the global emergency response to save lives and protect people in humanitarian crises.
The Hague is the international city of Peace and Justice. The Humanity Hub is at the heart of this unique ecosystem, providing a home for organizations striving for a more peaceful and just world and acting as a catalyst for collaboration. This diverse community of professionals is working every day towards innovating their sectors, from humanitarian action and justice innovation to peacebuilding and education.
Among these is the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). They support humanitarian organizations with access to information and resources they need to deliver vital assistance effectively. This mission helps ensure that their wide range of humanitarian aid, including food, water and sanitation, medical assistance and shelter, benefits the people who need it most.
The Strategic Communications Team based in the Hague will present some of its award winning advocacy campaigns “When I Grow Up” and annual campaigns for World Humanitarian Day.
What to expect
The Open House event will last about 45 minutes with an overview of the organization and a focus on specific projects. It will also give you ample opportunity to interact with the speakers and experts from the organization. The online participation with be facilitated with Zoom.
