This event is reserved for Hub members.
On the 5th of December join us and Alan Donald, Senior Director of Technology for Development at Mercy Corps, for lunch at the Humanity Hub Café to discuss:
- how his team is partnering with technology company partners to develop digital solutions to tough global challenges;
- how they set an example of the ethical use of technology to their peers, their donors and the governments we work with;
- How they innovate programs around the world to help create a world of digital inclusion and opportunity.
Beyond meeting urgent needs, Mercy Corps works to strengthen communities for the future and set lasting change in motion.
Technology equips their teams with better tools and information so they can work more efficiently and make a positive difference for more people.
With support from Cisco and other tech partners, Mercy Corps is designing and deploying new technology in our operations and programs. The result: streamlined processes; targeted, data-driven programming; and tools that can be scaled and replicated to make an impact beyond a single community.
Over the last year, Mercy Corps has been able to expand successful programming, applying what they learned in one community to develop locally relevant solutions in others while also working with partners and other NGOs to build a shared, nuanced understanding of the regulatory and ethical factors they must consider when introducing technology in new contexts.
