Senior Media Relations Officer
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Press Officer to join International Alert as we embark on a new organisational strategy with a strong focus on influencing. We are looking for a talented individual who can further Alert’s profile and reach by generating impactful media coverage through strong contacts with European and international media.
With a proven ability to translate complex narratives into powerful stories, you will be able to shape and lead our media strategy. As a confident planner and a creative thinker, you will develop good relationships with the media and stakeholders alike, and you will be the key point of contact for press. You will also be responsible for working with programme and country teams to develop and implement media strategies, and generate media coverage in their regions.
In return, you will have the opportunity to work for an innovative charity with amazing stories to tell.
Strong contacts with European media and experience of working in an international organisation would be distinct advantages.
While this is a part-time position, to complement a similar part-time position currently advertised in London, we are open to other options – including a full-time post in The Hague – for the right candidate.
Kindly note that the above are some of the requirements for the job. For the full requirements, please see the job description.
Closing date: 7th April at 23.59pm (GMT)
