Observing Heritage Protection as a Humanitarian Issue

On September 28th, Cultural Emergency Response brought together professionals from the cultural and humanitarian sectors at The Hague Humanity Hub. CER launched its Making the Case programme by observing heritage protection as a humanitarian issue. Some important questions were explored: How can culture help people in crisis? And how can the humanitarian and cultural sectors collaborate?

This event marked the beginning of CER’s long-term commitment to keep exploring these vital questions, seek solutions to motivate the field forward, and advocate for the urgency and importance of cultural heritage protection in crisis situations.

A heartfelt thank you to the esteemed panellists Dorothea Hillhorst, Tamar Sopromadze, and Marek Szczygiel, who shared the stage with CER for this special evening at the Humanity Hub.
