Academic Institution or Expert Researcher Consultant
Website Impunity Watch
Deadline: September 12
The ultimate goal is to deliver evidence-based insights that will influence both policy and practice. This research aims to deepen the understanding of the connections between militarised/violent masculinities and impunity, and to drive the development of effective strategies for addressing these issues, with a focus on existing and future Human Rights inquiries (i.e CoI). Additionally, the findings will seek to inform and enhance future programming in relevant sectors, and to refine the investigations and overall approach of investigation and accountability mechanisms, ensuring that interventions are well-informed and responsive to the underlying structural factors contributing to impunity. To ensure meaningful victim participation and the capturing of lessons learned from experiences of grassroots actors should be a cross-cutting theme running through the research.
