You will:

– Support the development of a diverse community of members at the Hub

– Participate in the acquisition and on-boarding of new members

– Help members make valuable connections within the hub community

– Coordinate the organisation of events and communicate with relevant stakeholders

– Help to advance our community development approach

– Work closely with the Community Development Lead

What you bring to the table:


– A demonstrated interest in the areas of peace, justice and humanitarian

– A curious, friendly personality with a genuine interest in our community

– Community development and or event management experience

– Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, which you would love to use for the occasional blog post

– You are fluent in English and can (ideally) converse verbally in Dutch

– A flexible, can-do attitude, ready to jump in and help where needed, and suggest improvements

– You are able to work independently as well as within a team. You welcome feedback and use it to improve

Some additional things to consider:


– You are currently enrolled in an academic programme: ideally in a Master degree in Development Studies, International Relations, International Law or other relevant field.

– The internship is a requirement for your study programme and/or you will be enrolled in an educational institution for the entire duration of the internship period

– You are legally allowed to do an internship in the Netherlands and you already have the required permits to do so

– You are (ideally) living in The Hague
