Organization: The Hague Humanity Hub
Type: Internship, 3 to 4 days a week
Location: Central The Hague
Duration: 4-6 months
Start: November/December or early 2019

Are you a motivated, multi-talented student who knows how to get things done, attract the right target groups, and build community spirit? Are you interested in grabbing the attention of the world and actively help us grow and engage our community of innovators in peace, justice, and humanitarian action? You will:

– Participate in our community building activities and act as a host for prospective members
– Coordinate the organisation of events and communicate with relevant stakeholders
– Take over the day to day communication activities through our social channels, newsletter, and website
– Support the administration of our memberships
– Work closely with our Community Manager and our Communication Lead

What you bring to the table:

– A curious, friendly personality with a genuine interest in our community
– Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, which you would love to use for the occasional blog post
– You are fluent in English and can (ideally) converse verbally in Dutch.
– A flexible, can-do attitude, ready to jump in and help where needed, and suggest improvements
– You are able to work independently as well as within a team. You welcome feedback and use it to improve
– Some experience playing around with websites and social media channels
– You are tech savvy and aren’t afraid to learn how to use various tools (Office, Mailchimp, WordPress, Photoshop, etc)

Some additional things to consider:

– You are currently enrolled in an academic programme: in a Bachelor degree, or ideally in a Master degree in Applied Communications, International Relations, Business & Management, Development Studies, Political Science, or equivalent
– If you don’t have a degree in Applied Communications/Marketing, you have demonstrable experience in this field
– The internship is a requirement for your study programme and/or you will be enrolled in an educational institution for the entire duration of the internship period
– You are legally allowed to do an internship in the Netherlands
– You are (ideally) living in The Hague
