Border Sessions Lab: Dark Side of Tech

14 June, 2019

How can we use technology to preserve and promote human rights?

The Dark Side of Tech, an active, day-long workshop at the Humanity Hub revolving around the question: ‘How can we use technology to preserve and promote human rights?’ Join The Human Rights Foundation and Ji Seong-ho, a North Korean human rights activist, in exploring how we can use technology to promote human freedoms.

Research questions:

1. How can technology be used to oppress or free people?

2. How can we escalate efforts in using technology to preserve and promote human rights?

3. What can we, as citizens of the free world, do to help those in closed societies without access to technologies that can help them?
