Join the Humanity Hub Community Host Programme!
Are you eager to join a leading community of innovators striving for a more peaceful and just world? Would you like to contribute to the development of the Hague Humanity Hub while gaining valuable connections in the peace and justice ecosystem?
Can you work part-time (about 10 to 15 hours per week) for a period of at least 3 months to support our unique collaborative community and shared workspace?
Your role
The Humanity Hub is both an actively managed community and a beautifully designed physical space in central The Hague where people can connect and collaborate, work, and hold events. We are looking for help to ensure the smooth daily operations and to support the development of the community. This includes acting as a host for members and visitors (about 2000 people/month), supporting the team with operations/office management tasks, helping coordinate events with logistics and communications, and supporting community building activities.
No day looks the same at the Hub. Next to being a point of contact for members and guests, troubleshooting problems, hosting tours of the space and tackling administrative tasks, you will help create valuable connections between people and ideas within our community of 230 professionals and 90 organizations. You will also get to work on a hub development project based on your interests and skills and related to the needs of the Humanity Hub and the themes of the peace and justice ecosystem.
What we offer
This is a work-trade volunteer programme: the work is unpaid and in exchange for your time you will receive a free 24/7 Hub Flex membership, valued at €250/month. This gives you all-round access to the Humanity Hub workspace and participation in a wide range of events and community activities. This is a great learning opportunity to develop your professional and social skills and the chance to build a network with leading changemakers in diverse fields such as peacebuilding, justice innovation, humanitarian action, climate action, and development aid.
Update: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, this programme is on hold until further notice. If you wish you can still register your interest at the link below but responses will be slow. Please follow our updates via the newsletter.
