Join us for the Workshop: Risk Assessment Toolkit for Humanitarians, hosted by Michele Moorlag-Salcido, Junior Advisor and Office Administrator at Global Risk Advice (GRA). The awareness and confidence needed to carry out your work safely and effectively in volatile settings, depends in large on your ability to assess and mitigate risks within the context of your travels. This session is designed to provide professionals with practical tools and strategies for assessing, managing, and mitigating risks in challenging circumstances and volatile environments around the world.

The interactive workshop will cover the following topics:

– Understanding risks and moving from fear-based, to fact-based thinking

– Making your own risk assessments

– Identifying key risk factors and indicators in such environments

– Strategies for assessing and mitigating risks when traveling to volatile regions around the world

This session will be relevant for those working in unstable areas or anyone that would like a better understanding of makings risk assessments in a humanitarian context.

Michele Moorlag-Salcido is a Junior Advisor and Office Administrator at Global Risk Advice (GRA), an organisation that provides accessible risk management tools and training for NGOs and FBOs working in challenging circumstances and volatile environments. Michele has experience in risk management and has be able to support and help equip various organizations working around the world to be able to carry out their work safely, and in confidence.
