The Hague X Beirut Exhibition Opening Night

3 May, 2021 @ 6:00 pm 7:30 pm

From The Hague to Beirut: the new activist art for human rights.

The Hague Peace Projects welcomes you to an online exhibition with more than 22 exclusive artworks which tell the hopes, memories and strives of Beirut!

An online exhibition experience curated by Sergio Gomez in collaboration with The Hague Peace Projects.  The Hague X Beirut is an online non-profit art fundraiser structured for 360° social impact. They sell printed pieces of their favorite Lebanese artists and use the proceeds to provide the basic needs of three human rights activists in Beirut. They pay the artists, and spread their works internationally.

The goal of The Hague X Beirut is to put all of our tools to work for the benefit of the people of Beirut without taking over the narrative at any point: we are not the spokesperson, but rather the microphone for a civil society that deserves to be heard.

The Hague X Beirut project is led by the initiatives of Beirut activists, it revolves around their projects and their needs, and it strives to find ways to support them.
Are foreign agencies and states responsible for the present and future of Beirut? What can and must we do to help? At The Hague X Beirut we connect activism and internationality with art and respect.
Let us introduce you to a new model of NGO action, based on grassroot initiatives, long term economical sustainability and social media.
