T.M.C. Asser Institute: The private side of transforming our world – UN sustainable development goals 2030 and the role of private international law

7 December, 2022 @ 2:00 pm 5:00 pm

The Asser Institute and the Royal Netherlands Society of International Law will host a discussion on the seminal book ‘The Private Side of Transforming our World – UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and the Role of Private International Law’ edited by Ralf Michaels, Verónica Ruiz Abou-Nigm and Hans van Loonand published in November 2021 by Intersentia.

This is the first volume to engage with the intersection between the SDGs and private international law.  The event will aim at debating the main questions raised by this volume and, more specifically, some of its chapters. It will start with a general introduction to the book and its ambition by the editors and will be followed by a discussion of two of the chapters, dedicated respectively to SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
