HAGUE TALKS – SHAPING OUR FUTURE TOGETHER

We commemorate the 75th anniversary of the creation of the United Nations. Join us for an online dialogue with youth on the importance of multilateralism in addressing SDG16.

SPEAKERS

The President of the International Court of Justice, Judge Abdulqawi A. Yusuf and the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Stef Blok, and the Mayor of The Hague Jan van Zanen will discuss issues related to peace, justice and multilateralism.

Musical interlude – United Music 75 – Hymne des Nations played on the harp by Lavinia Meijer and Leila Prnavorac with a spoken word.

A dialogue between President Yusuf, Minister Blok and invited students and young professionals is moderated by Hajar Yagkoubi.

Hague Manifesto is presented to President Yusuf by a representative of the Youth, with their pledge to commit to SDG16 and The Mayor of The Hague invites President Yusuf and Minister Blok to switch on the UN Blue spotlights.

The event is organised by the International Court of Justice, the Hague project Peace and Justice, UNRIC Benelux, Chair of UN Studies, United Nations University – MERIT and RNW Media.
