Share-net International invites you to the Round Table on Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The event will take place on the 3rd of September 2019 from 14:00 to 16.30 at the Humanity Hub in the Hague.
Universal Health Coverage, a target under Sustainable Development Goal 3, is gaining global momentum. Many countries have adopted national UHC strategies and are restructuring their health system financing and priorities to achieve UHC.
The global momentum for UHC is picking up pace towards the High-Level Meeting at the UN General Assembly in September 2019, where the global commitment to UHC will be galvanized through a political declaration.
A key moment for civil society organizations and policymakers to strategize and answer questions such as: how can governments ensure that no one is left behind in UHC policies? Which specific areas within UHC should get more (or less) attention? What happens after the High Level Meeting, and how can we ensure that governments are held accountable for their promises made in the declaration?
