How has the COVID-19 pandemic impacted marginalized communities in the city of The Hague?
4 June, 2021 @ 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
In early 2020, the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS-EUR) started four research projects, focusing on the impact of COVID-19 measures on often overlooked groups of city residents. What insights and experiences have we gained?
In this public seminar, ISS staff and research partners will share an overview of insights and experiences from these 4 projects funded under the auspices of the Local Engagement Fund.
The 4 projects
- Documenting the undocumented – Engaging with experiences of migrants, the difficulties they face and solutions they find.
- ISS engagement with organizations in The Hague – Local and international solidarity
- Solidarities during the pandemic – Using the power of storytelling to show solidarity between communities in The Hague
- Experiences of Habesha migrants in the Netherlands – Exploring the multiple and complex vulnerabilities of Eritreans and Ethiopians
