19 May @ 7:30 pm 9:00 pm

‘Access to justice for vulnerable people is important for their health and happiness’ – Tim Verheij

In the series of interviews and dialogues on different aspects of human rights, lawyer Tim Verheij is our online guest speaker on Wednesday, May 19, 7:30 – 9.00 pm.

Tim works as a researcher at the organization ‘The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL).’ He will explain his very recent report, ‘Access to Law in The Hague 2020, About legal problems and solutions for residents of The Hague’.

The municipality of The Hague is committed to enhancing the image of The Hague as an international city of peace and justice into everyday practice for the residents of the city. In the research Tim identified a ‘justice gap’. What justice problems do people run into and does one get the solutions that are needed?

Tim studied international law in The Hague and Maastricht. Among other things, he worked on ‘Rechtwijzer’, an online platform that offered solutions for people in relationship problems.

Participation is free of charge, voluntary donation is appreciated.

Dutch and English can be spoken during this meeting.
