Data Science Initiative Workshop: Land-grabbing

8 March, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

On Friday 8 March the Data Science Initiative is running a workshop at the Humanity Hub on a predictive tool for land-grabbing. The workshop will be attended by techies, land rights experts, academics, lawyers and more, and will focus on the data sources and information required to build such a tool. This workshop follows another workshop on 22 February which looked at the target users of such a tool and refining the problem statement. The project was initiated by the Asser Institute who pitched it as a challenge at last year’s Hackathon for Good.
