Empowering Hydro-diplomacy

5 October, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 6 October, 2018 @ 6:00 pm

The Institute for Water Education Delft, Wageningen University and the London Water Research Group will co-organize the conference Empowering Hydro-diplomacy, to facilitate an exchange of ideas on the role of power and empowerment in water conflict, and cooperation across borders at multiple levels. Participants are invited to submit proposals before 10 September 2018.

Empowering hydro-diplomacy is about understanding the processes informing and shaping diplomatic interactions concerning shared waters at multiple levels. Bringing together old and new actors in diplomacy, the conference invites researchers, students, practitioners, and policymakers to share new insights on what shapes hydro-diplomacy, through their experiences, case studies and research.

The event is being held with support from the City of The Hague, the Netherlands. Participation, including lunch, is free of charge.
